Jupiter

Next

Back

she was Jupiter
a voluptuous planet

her atmosphere
a hypnotic
swirling agitation
of exotic aromas

with a
big
red
spot

and satellites

some too close
hot and volcanic

others distanced
to icy death

and one or two
insignificant
clumps of rock

she reached for me

but I swung past

being a comet
on my way to the sun
